Apex Legends is heading into its 21st season next month, however, the new map coming to the game in the season after the next one has already leaked online. Yes, unfortunately, we are not getting a new map even in the next season. The upcoming new map is called District, and it looks like we are heading to Caustic and Crypto’s home city Suomtamo in Season 22.
We are headed to Suotamo in Apex Legends Season 22
Thanks to the renowned Apex Legends leaker, @Osvaldatore on X (previously Twitter), the community has received an overview of the upcoming map as well as a close look at some of the POIs (Points of Interest) found on this map.
In the X post below, you can see what the District map will look like when you travel over it in the dropship. Much like Olympus, this map has a city-like map structure with a river on one side and a mountain range on the other side.
The District map, as per the leak, seems to have a total of 10 POIs. It is complete with a city council, a resort, a Mirage Voyage-inspired arcade, an Electro Dam (possibly made with Wattson’s help to power the city), and Humbert Labs, among other locations. Each POI has its unique and futuristic vibe, with some locations such as Hillside and Blossom Drive, feeling oddly reminiscent of Titanfall, which is one of my most beloved titles.
Here is a list of expected POIs you will find on the District map in Apex Legends:
- Blossom Drive (with two sections)
- City Hall
- Drydock Arcade
- Electro Dam
- Hillside (most reminiscent of Titanfall)
- Humbert Labs
- Fan Slums
- Resort
- Street Market
- Oceania (unconfirmed name)
I know, we were all expecting Season 21 to introduce a new map because we haven’t seen one in over a year. Getting an update next week, Broken Moon was the last map to join the map pool in Season 15 back in November 2023. Accompanying the updated Broken Moon will be the new Skimrisher legend, Alter, who is said to have phase abilities much like Ash and Wraith.
Just to reiterate, even though the leak comes from a prominent source, it’s still a leak and should be taken with a grain of salt. We haven’t heard any information from Respawn and probably won’t until it’s time for the next season’s release.
That said, how do you like the new District map and its POIs? Do you also feel they have more of a Titanfall influence to them than some other maps? Voice your opinion down in the comments.
