Apex Legends has completed five years and is one of the most successful battle royale games on the market. The game launched with eight legends and one map in February 2019. However, this count has grown to include 26 legends and four maps over the last five years. Apex Legends releases new content in the form of new Seasons that usually last 90 days. If you’re looking for the content added in each new Apex Legends Season update, along with the start and end dates, scroll down to find the details.
Start and End dates for all Apex Legends seasons
At the start, the developers at Respawn Entertainment were slow with new content but recent Apex Legends updates have brought some groundbreaking changes. Season 16 revamped the class system while Season 20 brought a perks system to the game. Apex Legends consistently adds new legends to its ever-growing roster, along with maps and weapons, in new Seasons. The game has also expanded beyond battle royale to include TDM, Control, Gun Run, and other fun modes.
Apex Legends Season 21 was the most recent release, which kicked off May 7, 2024, and introduced a fun new legend — Alter. This season also saw the Broken Moon map get an update, Solo mode return, and Heirloom and death box customization options.
The initial year of Apex Legends’ content cycle was a little inconsistent but Respawn has followed the same 90-odd day Season approach since Season 4’s release in 2020. That said, below we have listed every Apex Legends Season, along with start and end dates, new legends, weapons, and other content introduced.
