Black Myth: Wukong has been making rounds on the internet for a few years now. It was first revealed to public in 2020 via a 13-minute gameplay trailer that quickly became the talk of the town for its polished gameplay. We’ve all been yearning for its official debut for years, and it looks like it’ll finally happen later this year.
When does Black Myth: Wukong release?
That’s right the long in-development Black Myth: Wukong is finally scheduled to release on August 20, 2024. That’s exactly four years after its first trailer debuted on August 20, 2020. Since we don’t have an exact release time for the game just yet as there’s still plenty of time left for its big release, the timer embedded above is counting down to 12AM on August 20, 2024. I’ll update this post with a more accurate timer closer to the official release date once we have more clarity on the release timings across different regions.
Black Myth: Wukong, in case you’ve been living under a rock, is an action RPG inspired by the classic 16th-century Chinese epic called Journey to the West. The game uses Unreal Engine 5 for some stunning visuals, and you can get a glimpse of the graphics in the latest trailer below.
Another reason why fans are raving about this game is that it also features Soulslike combat. From intense boss battles to what appears to challenging combat, Black Myth: Wukong seems like it’ll be a treat for those who were complaining and pointing out how Stellar Blade is not a soulslike.
Black Myth: Wukong is an exciting game, one that I’ll most likely end up putting a lot of hours into. It is set to launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows PCs via Steam and the Epic Games Store, so keep your peeled for pre-order and launch edition details.
