Microsoft has officially confirmed that the next installment in the long-running and highly popular COD franchise, called Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, will come to the Xbox Game Pass on day one. This was confirmed by an official Xbox Wire blog post earlier today after a premature notification was sent out via the Xbox Game Pass app on Android and iOS devices.
It’s not entirely surprising to see this game hit the Game Pass, but there is no denying that it’s a pretty big deal. It is, however, worth noting that there is still no release date set in stone for the game just yet, and all we know for now is that it’ll will be available on both Xbox Game Pass for consoles and PC Game Pass.
The Call of Duty Black Ops 6 teaser embedded above says that a worldwide reveal is coming on June 09, meaning we’ll get more details on the game, and maybe even a trailer, early next month. Rumors and speculations point towards a late October release for the game, but I guess we’ll have to wait a few more days to know if that’s really the case.
June 09, 2024, in case you don’t know, is also the date for the Xbox summer showcase during which I’m hoping to see the new Gears of War and Doom games, along with release dates for some other titles like Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. June is turning out to be a very special month that’s packed with a ton of interesting game announcement, and I honestly can’t wait.
It’s also a good time to reflect on how the Xbox Game Pass continues to shine as one of the best subscription services out there on the market. You can get this particular subscription for Xbox console or PC for $9.99/month, and there’s also the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate that covers both console and PC for $16.99/month.
