Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2024 was held in Tokyo, Japan today, and we finally know what other anime fandom preferred over the last year. Be it the best anime, voice actors, or the best animation studios, the competition was cut-throat. However, we have the winner list for the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2024, and a few surprises are in store for us.
As expected by many, not many anime stood a chance against the Shibuya arc adaptation in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. JJK won a total of 11 awards at the Crunchyroll Awards show, including the Anime of the Year and Best Director categories.
My favorite anime of 2023, Bocchi the Rock was able to snag one award, while one of the best releases from last year, i.e. Vinland Saga Season 2, was snubbed at the awards show. To my surprise, Vinland Saga S2 didn’t win a single award, while the likes of Chainsaw Man and Spy x Family did snag a few awards. Here is a full list of winners at Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2024:

I’m not going to sit here and lie about being content with the results here. The fans seem to have run a popularity contest here, awarding the most accolades to Jujutsu Kaisen S2, when we clearly have better contenders in some of the categories. Whatever be the case, we, as anime fans, know our champions for anime in specific genres, songs that should’ve won, and animators that should’ve been awarded.
