Demon Slayer Hashira Training arc: what to expect
For a quick recap, Demon Slayer Season 3 adapted the ‘Swordsmith Village arc’ that saw Tanjiro take a trip to the village where Nichirin swords are made. He met up with Muichiro, the Mist Hashira, and Mitsuri, the Love Hashira, at the village. They defeated Upper Moon 4 and 5 demons, namely Hantengu and Gyokko.
The Swordsmith Village arc is also where Muichiro awakens the Demon Slayer mark, with Tanjiro at his side, and its significance is discussed in the upcoming season. With Muzan getting eager to capture and devour Nezuko since she has conquered the sun, Season 4 kicks off a grueling training regimen led by the Hashira.
So, in the first episode, you will see Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu, and other members of the Demon Slayer Corps gearing up to undergo training with the Hashira. Their training will focus on improving stamina, agility, and swordsmanship, while also revealing to fans the breathing techniques of all the Hashiras.
How many episodes are in Demon Slayer Season 4?
The production staff has yet to confirm the exact number of episodes, but Demon Slayer is expected to follow the same pattern as recent releases. Apart from the debut season, which had 26 episodes, all consecutive seasons have had a lower episode count. Check out the episode count for all Kimetsu No Yaiba seasons here:
- Demon Slayer Season 1: 26 episodes

[SPOILERS] Will Tanjiro become a Hashira in Season 4?
Season 4 will only see Tanjiro train with the Hashira to prepare for the Final Battle arc. In the final arc of the manga, we see the Demon Slayer corps fight the Upper Moons and Muzan, who are all ultimately defeated. With Muzan out of the picture, the Demon Corps had served its purpose and there didn’t seem a need for Tanjiro to become a Hashira. So, no, the manga does not show Tanjiro become a Hashira.
