Elden Ring, the critically acclaimed action RPG released by FromSoftware in 2022, starts with a somber cutscene, and the narrator says, “The fallen leaves tell a story. Of how a Tarnished became Elden Lord.” If that stirred an emotion in you, get ready to witness the same in the form of a webcomic. As announced today by Kadokawa Group, Elden Ring is getting a webcomic adaptation titled “Elden Ring Become Lord” next month.
Elden Ring Become Lord Release Date
The announcement is accompanied by the release date and a teaser chapter, the link for which can be found below. Elden Ring Become Lord will be serialized starting from March 29, 2024, and will tell the story of a Tarnished one who is on a journey to become the next Elden Lord. The official synopsis of the Elden Ring webcomic reads,
The grand adventure of the action RPG ELDEN RING is now available in full-color comic. The story follows one of The Tarnished who, guided by blessings, reached the Lands Between and sets out on a journey to become the next Elden Lord. Along the way, the Tarnished encounters charming characters, explores various dungeons, battles mighty bosses, and more.
The vertical scrolling, full-color Elden Ring webcomic is being drawn by Hand Punch, the manga artist unit consisting of twin brothers. They’re emerging artists who are well-known for their original work, Emotions Evolution, which was their debut manga under Kadokawa.
An official comment shared by Hand Punch reads, “We are honored to be entrusted with the comic adaptation of such a prestigious work, but at the same time, we feel significant responsibility and pressure.” They further added,
ELDEN RING is not just a game; it is art itself. While we have poured passion into the creation process without reservation, we faced numerous challenges along the way. However, just as this game has taught us, we believe that light will always prevail and shine through, no matter how difficult the path.

The manga artists will work on all three different mediums in which the webcomic will be released, including TATESC COMICS, book comics, and e-books in Japan. As for those who are veteran manga readers but are new to Elden Ring, it is an action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware in collaboration with George R.R. Martin, who is well-known for Game of Thrones. The players, who forge the path of The Tarnished, travel the vast and immersive world of The Lands Between in search of the Elden Ring to restore the world. A new Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, is coming later this year.
The incredible storytelling paired with top-tier graphics and mechanics, Elden Ring is one of the best open-world RPG titles to be released to date. The game was released on PC, PS4/ PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
