More than one and a half years since its debut on the PS5, Sony Santa Monica and PlayStation Studios’ blockbuster God of War Ragnarok is finally set to arrive on the PC. It’ll join the likes of many PlayStation exclusive that are now available on the platform, further increasing the number of PlayStation Studios games available now on Windows PC. If you’re excited about God of War Ragnarok’s arrival on the PC and are wondering when it actually launches and unlocks on Windows, then you’ve come to the right page.
When does God of War Ragnarok PC release?
PlayStation Studios’ God of War Ragnarok is scheduled to come to PC on September 19, 2024. We don’t know exactly when the game goes live on that day just yet, but I’m sure we’ll have that info closer to the release date. It’ll be available via Steam and the Epic Games Store, with both marketplaces offering multiple editions of the game.
The God of War Ragnarok PC port is being developed by Jetpack Interactive in tandem with Sony Santa Monica. Jetpack Interactive, in case you are wondering, is the same support studio that helped develop the God of War 2018 PC port. The last few PlayStation 5 games that landed on the PC have been pretty good ports overall, and I’m hoping this to be no different.
God of War Ragnarok PC features
The PC port of God of War Ragnarok will run at uncapped framerates that too at 4K resolution, meaning you can truly push your PC hardware with this title when it comes out later this year. Notably, the game will also support popular upscaling technologies like DLSS, FSR, and XeSS to enable a smooth gameplay experience even for those who don’t necessarily have a powerful rig. Lastly, it’s worth noting that God of War Ragnarok will also have support for 21:9 ultra-widescreen and 32:9 super ultra-widescreen.
You can pre-order the game right now on both Steam and the Epic Games Store to be among the first to play it, but keep in mind that you will need a PlayStation Network (PSN) account to play it.
