This post has been updated with a new countdown timer for the exact release time of Hellblade 2 on PC and Xbox. I’ve also included a timezone map and a list of release timings for various regions.
Five years on from its original announcement in 2019, Hellblade 2 is finally coming out later this month. The game’s studio Ninja Theory confirmed the release date for Hellblade 2 during the Xbox Direct earlier this year, and said it’ll be out on May 21, 2024. If you are wondering exactly how long until you launch the date and play it on your system, then below is a timer that’s counting down to the big release.
When does Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 release?
Ninja Theory’s Hellblade 2 releases everywhere on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, but it goes live at different timing based on the region. The timer embedded above is counting down to the game’s release in New York i.e. May 21, 2024 at 4AM EST. Both PC and the Xbox versions of the game will go live at the same, so no differences there. If you are wondering when the game will go live in your region, then check out the list below:
- London – 9AM (BST)
- Seattle – 1AM (PDT)
- Chicago – 3AM (CDT)
- New York – 4AM (EDT)
- Mexico City – 2AM (CST)

- Reykavik – 8AM (GMT)
- Berlin – 10AM (CEST)

Hellblade 2 isn’t getting the attention it deserves
The word on the street is that Xbox is not doing justice with its promotion. I agree with that sentiment because Xbox is putting little to no effort to push the game out to the public. I’m inclined to believe that only the fans of the original award-winning Hellblade game are currently holding their hands for this title, while others aren’t nearly as excited.
No seriously, the last time we ever heard about this game from Xbox was almost 5 months ago when it posted the game’s official trailer from the Game Awards 2023 show. Even its official release date was confirmed directly by Ninja Theory on its own YouTube channel.
Anyway, Hellblade 2 is coming out sooner than you think, and I can’t wait to hop in. There are some folks who are mad about the game reportedly being only 8 hours long, but that’s not going to stop me — shouldn’t stop you either — from enjoying what is promised to be a visually stunning, and potentially groundbreaking sequel.
