More than a year after officially announcing the remakes, Remedy has finally confirmed that Max Payne 1 + 2 Remake is finally ready to enter full production. That’s right, the titles haven’t even entered full production yet, but they could anytime between now and the end of June.
This piece of information comes directly from Remedy, which just gave an update on all the games it currently has in the works. The news about both the original Max Payne titles entering production comes a few months after it said they entered the “production readiness stage.” It just goes to show that the development is progressing at a good pace.
That’s great news because these two aren’t the only titles Remedy is currently working on. The studio is also working on two Control games, one of which has already entered full production. It’s a live service game that’s codenamed Condor, and it takes place in the Control universe. If that doesn’t excite then you might want to keep yours eyes set on Control 2, which is a direct Control sequel. This sequel, however, isn’t slated to arrive anytime soon, as it is yet to even enter the “production readiness” state.
Notably, Remedy is also working on a DLC to extend Alan Wake 2, which is great news for those who enjoyed playing the main game. There’s no word on another sequel, so this particular DLC is as good as it is probably going to get for now.
It’s safe to say that the folks over at Remedy have their hands full at the moment with all these games in the works. These are in addition to the recently revealed free-to-play title Codename Kestrel. It didn’t have anything to share about it at the moment, but it’ll be interesting to see how it turns out.
