My Hero Academia is coming to an end really soon, and Season 7 is going to bring fans a step closer to that final superhero-supervillain bout. We have known for a while that MHA Season 7 is set to premiere on May 4, 2024. However, it has been revealed today that TK from Ling Tosite Sigure will sing the opening song for My Hero Academia Season 7.
Most anime fans know TK, whose name is Toru Kitajima, from Ling Tosite Sigure because of the Tokyo Ghoul opening song ‘unravel’ that has resonated with us for years. The OP artist announcement for Season 7 was made via an official X post and blog post, which also includes a statement from TK.
In the official blog post (translated from Japanese to English), TK says that,
I kept thinking about what [I could draw inspiration from], as I have no personality, no talent, and am far from a hero. Suddenly, a soap bubble flew in front of me, and it was an extremely bright rainbow color. The theme of this song was born at the moment when it disappeared, leaving behind a shape on the concrete.

I know TK is being extremely humble when he says he has no personality and no talent. He is instead someone who has the superpower to produce music that captivates the listener, hits home with the feelings being converted, and keeps them coming back for more.
“Is this battle, which continues with deprivation and even pain, for oneself or someone else? May the brightness that shines through the tattered world be engraved with this song,” adds TK. So, yeah, I can’t wait to give the Season 7 opening a listen, which will be paired with Deku and his friends ready to face Shigaraki.
We are fast approaching the Justice League-esque good vs bad finale fight in My Hero Academia, and I couldn’t be more hyped. The clash between One for All and All for One is happening soon, so which side are you on? Are you supporting Deku or Shigaraki? We are looking forward to your opinions in the comments section.
