thenexden rating for today’s NYT Strands
I had a bit of trouble guessing the first set of theme words, but getting them right didn’t necessarily make the puzzle any easier. It was only after I realized that we’re talking about lucky charms did everything start falling into place.
I started filling up the hint button as usual by guessing a few different non-theme words, and I quickly found words like WISH, LUCK, MONEY, HORSE, and MARSH. None of those words steered me towards finding the theme words, and I was only able to find the first word PENNY after using a hint. In fact, I had to rely on the hint to get my next two words which were LADYBUG and SHAMROCK, but things quickly started falling into place after that.
And that was it for today’s NYT Strands puzzle, folks. We’ll be back with more hints for the next one tomorrow!
