Our beloved and overpowered B-Class superhero is back, everyone! The first teaser for One Punch Man Season 3 has been released, and the show is officially in production. It has been fricking five years since the release of One Punch Man Season 2, so we could not be more hyped for its return.
The announcement comes with an official teaser video. It shows the human monster, the hero hunter, and one of the show’s main villains, Garou, fighting against the heroes Royal Ripper and Bug God. Then, the teaser shifts to Saitama’s POV, retelling his origin story to remind us that rigorous training got him to become the strongest hero.
Finally, the video ends with the text, Supreme Power vs Ultimate Fear, teasing one of the most action-packed battles – Saitama vs Garou – from the One Punch Man manga. Check out the teaser trailer for yourself here:
One Punch Man Season 3: What manga arc will it adapt?
For those wondering, OPM Season 3 will pick up right after the second season and will likely continue the adaptation of the Monster Association Arc. It will start adapting from manga chapter 86 onwards, introducing the Monster Worship Party to the viewers.
That said, here is the official synopsis for the third season of One Punch Man:
Saitama is a hero who only became a hero for fun. After three years of “special training,” he’s become so strong that he’s practically invincible. In fact, he’s too strong—even his mightiest opponents are taken out with a single punch. Alongside Genos, his faithful disciple, Saitama performs his official hero duties as a member of the Hero Association.
One day, monsters claiming to be from the Monster Association suddenly appeared, taking a child of Hero Association executive as a hostage. The S-class heroes gather and plan a raid on the Monster Association hideout to rescue the hostage. Meanwhile, Garou, a “human monster” who was taken by the Monster Association during a battle with the heroes, awakens in the Monster Association hideout.

The hero poster, the first out of the many to come each month, that you see above has been made by a new character designer Shinjiro Kuroda. They are joined by returning designer Chikashi Kubota and former Kyoto Animation key animator Ryosuke Shirakawa.
Is MAPPA animating One Punch Man season 3?
For the longest time, it was rumored that MAPPA (known for Jujutsu Kaisen, AOT Final season, and Chainsaw Man) would be the animation studio leading the charge of One Punch Man Season 3. However, that is not the case.
It has also been revealed that J.C. Staff will return to animate One Punch Man Season 3. As for previous seasons, OPM Season 1 was animated by Studio Madhouse in 2025, and J.C. Staff animated the second season.
So, after a five-year-long wait, One Punch Man is making a return to fight against Garou, and I’m already getting chills. As someone who has read the manga, I’m excited to see if J.C. Staff can do justice to their incredible fight. What are your expectations from Season 3? Let’s discuss this in the comments section.
