T-Pain, the singer, songwriter, and producer, who’s popularly known for his single “Low” with Flo Rida and several other music productions, has revealed that is working with Rockstar Games on Grand Theft Auto 6. The artist revealed this in a clip that has now gone viral on social media. He also revealed that his involvement with the game has landed him a ban from GTA 5 RP servers.
T-Pain was clipped responding to a question from a fan about why he hasn’t been seen on the NoPixel server lately. “How about this shit?” he said. “I used to be on NoPixel, and then I started working on the fucking, on GTA 6, and they told me I couldn’t do RP any more because it kind of goes against… They had this whole speech, like, ‘What if somebody took your album and re-recorded it, and more people were listening to that?”
He laughed about it while saying, “Then I’m like, OK, I kind of get that, but I was having a good time! All right, that’s fine.”
Long story short, T-Pain is working on Grand Theft Auto 6 in some capacity, and Rockstar Games doesn’t want a big-name celebrity that’s working on their product to be seen unsanctioned and unofficial servers. Ironically, though, Rockstar Games ended up acquiring Cfx.re, a company that makes the mods on which servers like NoPixel for GTA RP are based. T-Pain funnily mentions this in the same clip and chuckles. “Then they teamed up with the people that make the RP shit!” he said, laughing.
A large portion of the first GTA 6 trailer focuses on internet culture, showcasing some bizarre moments that could potentially take place throughout the game. While the trailer didn’t showcase any real-life celebrities or influencers, there’s good reason to believe that Rockstar will collaborate with some celebrities for in-game content, at least in some capacity. After all, it is one of the most anticipated games in recent history and is set to break global records. We won’t surprised to see more celebrities being involved in the development of the game, and you shouldn’t be either.
GTA 6 is scheduled to release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S next year.
