Who would’ve thought Pokemon with guns was what we all needed? Palworld, the game that has taken the world by storm, envisions that and has already amassed more than one million concurrent players. While so many players are already enjoying the game, some are left wondering if they will ever get to play Palworld. Yes, a common question that we have seen cropping up recently is – Can I play Palworld on PS5 or PS4?
Let me not beat around the bush and answer that for you right away.
Can you play Palworld on PlayStation consoles?
Unfortunately, you cannot play Palworld on PS4 and PS5 right now. Currently, the game is only available in early access mode and is a work in progress.
During its early access release, which was on January 19, 2024, Palworld has exclusively made its debut on PC and Xbox consoles. On PC, you can play the game through Steam ($29.99, discounted to $26.99 for now) or Xbox Game Pass (Free).
Will Palworld ever be on PS5?
Now, this does not mean that a PlayStation release is completely out of the equation. The Palworld developer Pocketpair has already confirmed its interest in Sony’s platform. In an official Early Access FAQ, the developer said that, “We don’t have plans for this [PS5 and PS4 release] at the moment, but will consider it during development!”
This means we can expect to see Palworld launch on PS4 and PS5 close to the release of the final version. It’s a possibility. Now, when it is going to happen is unknown to us at the time of writing.
Moreover, the scintillating response to the early access will surely enable the developer to contribute more resources to porting the game to a new platform. So, in addition to PS4 or PS5, we can expect Palworld to find its way to Nintendo Switch as well.
